My most long-standing and trustworthy client, whose book I was illustrating, recently died out of nowhere. Not only does this suck because he was a nice guy, but also because his book will now never be published and I was hoping that would look good on my resume later. Damn.

For any other amateur digital artists that see this--watch Feng Zhu's videos. Watch them all. Not only does he break down the process of a digital painting with excellent clarity, he also gives a variety of tips for working in the concept art and design business, which is of course hugely helpful to anyone looking to make a career out of their scribbles. I've learned loads from these; and of course his art is gorgeous.
